e) Place your lips tightly around the mouthpiece and keep the peak flow meter horizontal to the floor. Make sure that your hand did not cover the scale and the scale is facing upwards
f) Take a deep breath and blow as hard and fast as possible for 2-3 seconds to empty your lung.
g) Read your score on meter
h) Put back the marker to zero.
i) Repeat the measurement for two more times and take the highest reading as your peak flow expiratory rate value.
