Answer
1)Closed neonatal transport incubator
2)Precaution before using it
-Ensure that the battery (external power supply) is fully charged.
-Connection to the oxygen supply is intact and oxygen tank contains oxygen adequate for the transports
-The warmer is well functioning.
-The incubator must be closed to avoid heat loss (except if ambu-bag is required then one door is open)
-Pre transport stabilization of the patient
-Labeled all the connection attach to the baby (IV fluids, Intra arterial line)
-Sick patient may require monitoring (BP, ECG, pulse oxymetry)
-Adequate supply of fluid & drug for resuscitation should be available.
-All documents regarding the patient must be available during transportation.
-Baby should be escorted by experienced staff.
3)Two complication during ambu bagging
-Big leak and ventilation volume loss
-Hemothorax and pneumothorax
-stomach intubation (abdominal distension and worsening respiratory distress)
-Worsening of patient condition that has diaphragmatic hernia. (Respiratory distress worsens during ambu bagging.)
